This week it's gonna happen! (from 21-25 October). The Amsterdam Dance Event is one of the biggest happenings of electronic music in the world. It is normally a combination of conferences and festivals throughout Amsterdam. An event in which more than 1000 different festivals would take place, taking place at around 200 venues. During the ADE, more than 2500 artists will perform and more than 500 speakers will be present at the conferences. From all over the world, people from over 100 countries would come to Amsterdam to experience electronic music. This is how the ADE is known worldwide, a real massive party. Everywhere in Amsterdam you breathe music throughout the week and you can also see that the city is dressed with brightly colored flags with the well-known ADE logo.

In 2020, everything is different

Like many events, the Amsterdam Dance Event is very different in 2020. Due to COVID-19 the dance event cannot continue as it would be in other years. Actually, this year, the event consists exclusively of an online section. Still the combination of conference and festival but unfortunately not something where you can be physically present. For a long time there has been attempts to keep the event on a few locations with a smaller group of visitors, but the recent COVID-19 developments makse sure that this also can't continue.

Future

Good news! The future looks bright and it is expected that the ADE will be back in its original form next year. There will be another fun party!
