More centrally located in Amsterdam it is almost impossible. The Madame Tussauds museum is located on Dam Square in Amsterdam. Next to the location in Amsterdam there are many more locations around the world where you can find a Madame Tussauds. Within Amsterdam, the museum is quite popular, partly because of its location the accessibility is perfect, you actually always come by practically when visiting the city.
Whereas the museum was a static museum a few years ago (at the beginning still in the Kalverstraat) with only still statues, it has now been transformed into a full interactive museum. For example, you can do a “staredown” with Rico Verhoeven, this is the first moving wax statue at Madame Tussauds. Other celebrities you encounter include Dua Lipa, Obama, Mandela, DJ Tiësto, DJ Hardwell and many others.
In addition to the wax sculptures, nowadays there is also an exicting VR Formula 1 experience. With the VR glasses on your head you imagine yourself on the circuit of Zandvoort. Very cool and exiting to experienc!
Madame Tussauds is wheelchair accessible, but limited to a maximum of two wheelchairs at the same time in the museum. This is related to fire safety. It is wise to contact the museum in advance that you would like to visit. Unfortunately, when you're in a scooter like wheelchair you are not allowed in.
